Imported directly from Modena, Italy, our barrel-aged balsamic vinegar is the best way to experience the true tastes and aromas of authentic aged balsamic vinegar. This dark balsamic vinegar begins with the careful selection of only the ripest Lambrusco or Trebbiano grapes. Their high sugar content makes them perfect for producing deliciously robust and thick balsamic vinegar. Once picked, the grapes are pressed into “must”, heated, and reduce in volume by at least 40%. Then, this liquid is decanted into wooden barrels and left to age for up to 25 years.
This strict centuries-old process is how each bottle of our Authentic Aceto Balsamico di Modena is made, with the ageing allowing it to reach the perfect balance of aroma and flavor. Once having been authentically aged in Italy, our aged balsamic vinegar becomes the perfect topping for all of your favorite food dishes. Plus, while having a complex sweet taste and being as dark as the night, this barrel-aged balsamic vinegar is free of GMO’s gluten, caramel, coloring and preservatives.
